Yeah, that was a truly hot tape. Another favorite one of mine featuring Casey Donavan is Boys in the Sand. I got sort of the same sense of nostalgia when Dawson and Max Stohl produced their first Fire Island dvd Meat Rack.

To me both are classic and share the same kind of ambiance. Both men, Casey Donovan and Dawson, seem to be in the same kind of magic--glorified men doing magical things.

I have Boys in the Sand too and Boys in the Sand II - also in Beta tape format. Casey has such sex appeal it almost flowed off the screen. Nonstop was another great film which I also have - what can I say I just love the classic.

What can I rediscovered my videos on in Beta format and I had been watching Screen Play. Jon King is simply amazing in this film. Jon had an innocence that really played well on screen. He and Casey have been missed.

The scene in Screen Play with Jon King and Lee Ryder is one of my all time favorites.

Thank you Max for confirming that Meat Rack was homage to Boys In The Sand. When I saw Meat Rack it reminded me so much about Boys In The Sand.

Yesterday (10/25) I decided to spend a quiet evening at home and watched Meat Rack again and now I see the similarities of both--there was a scene of the setting sun in the Boys in The Sand, where the camara recorded Casey Donavan looking into the sunset, similar scene in Meat Rack when Dawson is standing by a wooden fence looking out at the beach and watching a couple of joggers running with their dog as the sun is setting. It is those interludes between the sex that you came closest to tieing Meat Rack to Boys In The Sand.

There are a couple of camera shots in both films that showed Casey and Dawson looking into the camera and communicating with the camera an expression of "man, this is so good, I'm loving every minute of this, aren't you?"

Thank you Max. You remind of the good old days when men were free to express themselves through their sexual interaction with other men. And no one thought of the consequences. I'm on the scene where Lee is being Jack under the table, but I have to tell you the Jon King scene are the best - He is completely wiling and able to take on Eric Ryan and Lee.

I have to say that some of the films that came out them were pretty risky - Brother's Should Do It, The Christy Brothers actually going at it - as far as the theme they seem to be a lot more raunchy then they are today.

Anybody have any vintage tapes they'd be willing to loan out - Please me know I have a bunch of titles too - some Bijou doesn't even have anymore.

One of my all-time favorites was the Chris Rage film "Sleaze". A bunch of guys meet in an abandoned (or semi-abandoned) Times Square building to rut. Daniel Holt and (do I remember correctly?) Casey Donovan have a particularly hot men's room scene. But it's almost all prime hot stuff.

What bugs me no end is that it clearly had water sports scenes in it when it was first made, but by the time I got my hands on a copy, they had all been excised for wider commercial release. Rage died in (I think) the late 1980s, and I am not aware that the WS footage has ever been transferred (or even exists anymore).

If anyone has a copy of "Sleaze" that includes the WS scenes, I'm definitely interested! (Almost needy...)

Since were tossing around ideas for future productions, why not try to remake a classic like Joe Gage's Closed Set?

Paul Morris and Treasure Island have pretty much updated the "Closed Set" concept several times. He's the Joe Gage of today.
Speaking of, a few years ago I went to a retrospective that featured Gage's films. After watching "El Paso Wrecking Co" , he was introduced to speak for a bit. Much to my shock, he was the man sitting a couple of seats down from me! He was a pleasant looking older man, who was responsible for setting the bar on porn for me. When I was old enough to go into a porn store, his were the first videos I was immediately drawn to.
Many of his films are available on DVD. Unfortunately, the one I finally got a hold of, "El Paso" is badly cut. Hopefully they will be released intact with original poster art, etc. I know that's a longshot, but there has to be a substantial market for classic porn.
