I ordered my copy of SPERM BANK I think on Sunday, and got it Wednesday. I really have enjoyed it so far. Much better than DEEPER, which I bought when it first came out. Ok, just got back from Amsterdam, where I picked up my copy of Sperm Bank and what can I say ... My disappointment was so great when I bought Deeper but this disappointment was more than compensated after watching the latest TIM production.

Of course not all the guys are that great but I don't expect that from any porn flick. I was rather negative about the 'monsters' in Deeper but seeing the 'stars' in Sperm Bank was an absolute delight. Mark Sergeant is an absolute must for anyone! I have to agree with what everyone has been saying. Deeper was one of the worst disappointments I have ever had with a porn from any company. The fact that it came from TIM made it that much worse. I felt horribly misled when I saw the vid after reading the advertisement on the purchase page.

Sperm Bank was my last try with TIM. If I was misled again, I wouldn't be buying any new vids from them. I am EXTATIC to announce that I will still be buying every new vid from TIM, because Sperm Bank is way better than it was touted. Just got it yesterday, and haven't made it through the first scene (blown 3 loads already). Fantastic vid Max. You've outdone yourself.

As for Spermbank, I think it ought to be called "Sperm-kaleidoscope", because of the amazing variety of hot men, locations, and action. In many ways, it was a kind of reunion, since much of the cast was assembled from models who appeared at various scenes in various previous Max-TIM videos. Some of them now have fresh ink, some have facial hair, some have gained/lost weight, or are changed in some way from their original TIM performance. Certainly Max's casting department worked overtime to put together this smoking hot cast! :twisted:

The new additions, like George Glass, who has been a real favorite of mine ever since I first saw him in Ray Dragon's "Big Blue", are sensational.

Just a mention about the truck scene, which I guess was intended as a kind of salute to the care-free 1970's, when I was a wild young man, in NYC. When we had sex in the trucks, it was right inside the backs of the trucks(not standing on the ground beside the trucks), and all the action took place in total darkness. Obviously, the TIM cameras couldn't have captured these elements.

One other comment: in both Spermbank and Deeper, there is some kind of color balance technical issue. The dicks and balls of the black and hispanic models are reproduced as various unappetizing shades of purple and green. This has not been a problem, before. For example, in WICS2, Jerry Stearns is seen in all his black glory, while in Deeper, he appears in various shades of green!I hope this can be corrected, in the future.

All in all, Spermbank is a great release from Max and TIM.

My copy arrived Monday, while I was out, and was accepted by the superintendent of my building. Thankfully, he didn't open it (I can imagine him watching it with his wife and two young sons), but I got home too late to retrieve it. Was able to get it Tuesday, but had no time to view it until yesterday, and then had to split it up between afternoon and night. So I will need to look at it a few dozen more times before speaking about it authoritatively. :twisted:

First impressions: Some scenes will get replayed more often than others. I especially liked Pat Jackson's "sperm bank" scene because of how verbal he was in it. Overall, he comes over as one of the star performers in this video.

I also liked the "head" scene, though disappointed that it didn't take place in a men's room (after "truck stop", I thought the title cards would refer to location, not activity). The three boys in the "head" scene were all new to me, and a little younger than many TIM performers - but they had the proper "outlaw" quality.

As others have noted on this board, it's nice to see some returning faces and cocks (though Jace Hawk, whom I loved in Dawson's 50 Part 2, seems underutilized here, not shown to his best advantage), but I was also pleased with the number of new performers.

A little disappointed in the Christian gangbang - he has such great potential, and has been shown in hotter scenes before. Maybe I'll like it more the second time around. Also disappointed in the last gangbang, since very little of the cum wound up in the bottom's ass.

The music was an interesting touch (I suspect I may have had something to do with its presence on the soundtrack). Perhaps Max could work on a long-form music video of devotional music, cutting his cumshots into a nice bonus scene on a future video. Bet it would get lots of play in seminaries...

Perhaps it's because I got spoiled with "What I Can't See 2", but "Sperm Bank" just doesn't deliver. I received my copy today and I have seen so much better product from Treasure Island Media. "Sperm Bank" isn't a terrible movie; it could simply be better. There are a few hot scenes in it, most notably the sling scene, although one of the tops could have stayed home. I liked this much of this movie a lot, though I found the last scene disappointing because of the editing. One of the hallmarks of TIM videos is the sense you have of continuous sex being filmed. In the pool table scene, there were fadeouts and fades to black and resumption of the scene from a different angle or at a clearly different moment. There didn't seem to be the usual spontaneity or flow, and so often you'd be focusing on something and then all of a sudden the screen would go black. Much of the sex was really hot -- it was just the new style of editing that was totally off-putting. I kept wondering what happened -- and was pulled out of the flow of things.

And will Austin Shadow be back? And Dan Fisk? I loved Brad McGuire in this movie, by the way.

Regarding Austin, Dan, etc., I can only whole-heartedly agree. But TIM seems to have evolved into an west coast/east coast system, wherein Paul Morris's videos are made out west, where he is, and Max Sohl's videos here in the east, where he is (and I am). So if someone doesn't appear in one director's videos, he's likely to appear in the other's. (And Damon Dogg's videos get shot here, there and almost anywhere.)

Luckily for us, Austin appears just about everywhere. Dan so far seems very San Francisco-based, but it would be interesting to give him a shot at some of our east coast bottoms (eh, Max?).
